UK Life Part 3: Nottingham Sites

Assalamualaikum

Today I would like to share about Nottingham.
Based on my experience live here since October 2016, this city is very pregnancy friendly hahahaha...
I start with the tourist sites, there are several sites that you can enjoy.
Firstly, Nottingham Castle. For entry , each person should pay for 7 pounds. I think it's quite expensive, in my opinion it should be free hahahaha...
As you know, the Nottingham city is the city where legend of Robin Hood alive. There is a statue that represent him near to the castle.

The second place is The Wollaton Hall and Park. You may know that the Wollaton Hall is a home of Bruce Wayne in Batman movie. Yes, they take shooting in this house. Wollaton Hall was a house of Wollaton family, but I don't know exactly what happened with them. Anyway, I really enjoy the Wollaton hall and park scenery, very green and relaxing. Very good for preggo mom to get fresh air, and there are several deers there.

Thirdly, of course the old market square. It is the center of city, you can find many good stores and mall. Almost every week I go there, to buy something or just want to walk around. Only in here, you can feel the crowd of the city. As you know Nottingham is a quite and calm city, however, the city council try to make it "not to be boring city" by provide events every weekly, monthly and yearly basis.

co-parenting, is that hard?

Co-parenting? what is that? for you who has "a perfect family" hopefully will never experience this. I started to google it since April 2019. I never know and never want to experience this kind of parenting method. However, some sh%%$ happened and the show must go on.  When you google "co-parenting", you will face several articles about it. Basically, co-parenting means you and your ex-spouse collaborate together to raise the kid, despite your hates and egos. And how to do it? the answer is I DON'T KNOW. I just try not to fight or against your ex-spouse in front of your kid and pretend "everything is just fine". I try to explain the kid every night such as "Mommy and daddy can't get along together anymore, however, we still love you and want the best for you". I will allow my daughter if she wants to meet her dad and vice versa. On the other hand, especially in Indonesia, the "co-parenting" method is unusual. Therefore, you need...

Baby Swim Tips

However, I never thought that I could teach parents how to swim safely with their babies. When I was a kid, I got a gold medal for swimming competition for all primary school student in Jakarta, and I love to swim. My point is every good thing that we've learned in the past will give us an advantage, build our character and determine who we are. Hopefully what I've learned can be useful for the society and others, although it's just a simple thing such how to swim together with your baby safely. So here some tips for a parent when swimming with their baby under one year old. I recommend you to start swim together with your baby when she/he is six months old. There are some advantages for baby join baby swimming class such as build his/her character to be more confident, enhance bonding between parent and baby, healthy together (of course), sleeping tra...

Next blog will be a detail of my UK stories, so excited... Innovation Building at Jubilee Campus University Of Nottingham I moved to Nottingham when I was 20 weeks of pregnant. Now I'm already 32 Weeks of pregnant, and preparing for my next exams in the middle of January 2017. And the UK policy gives me privilege as a pregnant lady, especially my campus. They support me by giving me special treatment. For instances: they give me extra time 15 minutes for each module exam and let me go to the toilet every 1 hour. They also provide a special room for me. So I will not bother other students. Alhamdu...
