UK Life Part 7: Skin Care During Pregnancy and After Giving Birth

Assalaualaikum

Hallo everyone, nice to see you again.
Today I'm already 13 days after giving birth.
I had laboured on 25th February 2015, for the details I will write another blog for it.

Today I want to share about my skincare routine during pregnancy.

Acne come during pregnancy! "Higher levels of hormones called androgens are at least partly responsible for pregnancy breakouts"

In the first trimester, I didn't have any problem. I was barely no makeup on my face. The acne problems came in the second trimester and  I couldn't do anything about it, as you know, we should avoid chemical products so I just tried to release it..."There's no way to prevent the problem". However, it was hard to ignore the blemish!hahaa  I was using Tea Tree series from The body shop and FTE SKII. Fortunately, on my 8 months pregnancy, my skin had changed and became normal. Acne on my face become less. I don't know whether it was the effect of my skincare routine or my hormone became normal.

Some tips from me to camouflage it:
1. I use Vitamin C Serum
2. Use Tea Tree BB Cream, very recommended for blemish skin. It does not cause another acne comes, however, it is not full coverage but enough for camouflage
my makeup during breakout of pregnancy
3. Loose powder
4. Lip matte

All of those products by @thebodyshop, although I only put makeup on just occasionally not daily.
On daily basis: I use tea tree facial wash, Vit C serum as moisturizer without any powders, matte lipstick by @thebodyshop and the eyebrows &eyeshadow by mac. And avoid to see urself in the mirror hahahaaaa

All in all, I prefer light products from well known natural brand because as a mother-to-be, we have an instinct that will leads us to protect our baby, u will consider "baby first" rather than yourself... aaaa life is good 😊😊

After I'm giving birth, I change my skincare routine to prevent acne and the scars of acne.
So I choose cliniques series, however, I plan to use it only a month. In additions, I still using FTE SKII.
Clinique for blemish skin, it works on me!

Skincare & vitamins after giving birth..
1. Clinique Anti-Blemish Solutions Series ( Facial Wash, Toner & Lotion), using these for day & night.. @cliniqueuk
2. SK-II FTE, using FTE since 8 months of pregnancy and still counting.. highly recommended 👍🏻

3. Vitamin Blackmores, no doubt about it. Walaupun di UK ga ada jd mesti import pesen by amazon ke Australi dan lebih murah beli di Indo huuu
4. Vitamin Pregnacare buat new mom, very recommended to prevent hair loss after giving birth.. dan sampe skrg si blm nemu rambut rontok ya #alhamdulillah
 5. Hasil muka nya skrg pake clinique ga kering, ga ada jerawat dan ga lengket terus jd dewy pdhal ga pake bedak ato apapun..

co-parenting, is that hard?

Co-parenting? what is that? for you who has "a perfect family" hopefully will never experience this. I started to google it since April 2019. I never know and never want to experience this kind of parenting method. However, some sh%%$ happened and the show must go on.  When you google "co-parenting", you will face several articles about it. Basically, co-parenting means you and your ex-spouse collaborate together to raise the kid, despite your hates and egos. And how to do it? the answer is I DON'T KNOW. I just try not to fight or against your ex-spouse in front of your kid and pretend "everything is just fine". I try to explain the kid every night such as "Mommy and daddy can't get along together anymore, however, we still love you and want the best for you". I will allow my daughter if she wants to meet her dad and vice versa. On the other hand, especially in Indonesia, the "co-parenting" method is unusual. Therefore, you need...

Baby Swim Tips

Hi it's been a while... Today I would like to share my experience as a baby swill class coach at @splishsplashid. However, I never thought that I could teach parents how to swim safely with their babies. When I was a kid, I got a gold medal for swimming competition for all primary school student in Jakarta, and I love to swim. My point is every good thing that we've learned in the past will give us an advantage, build our character and determine who we are. Hopefully what I've learned can be useful for the society and others, although it's just a simple thing such how to swim together with your baby safely. So here some tips for a parent when swimming with their baby under one year old. I recommend you to start swim together with your baby when she/he is six months old. There are some advantages for baby join baby swimming class such as build his/her character to be more confident, enhance bonding between parent and baby, healthy together (of course), sleeping tra...

UK Life part 1: Preggo Student

Hi again... long time no see... I'm so busy lately, I moved to the UK to pursue my master degree. fortunately, I get to school with my husband too. Next blog will be a detail of my UK stories, so excited... Innovation Building at Jubilee Campus University Of Nottingham I moved to Nottingham when I was 20 weeks of pregnant. I decided to pursue my master degree in Finance and Investment, while I'm pregnant. I was afraid for what I have been decided, however, I have a family who always supports me. Especially my husband! Now I'm already 32 Weeks of pregnant, and preparing for my next exams in the middle of January 2017. And the UK policy gives me privilege as a pregnant lady, especially my campus. They support me by giving me special treatment. For instances: they give me extra time 15 minutes for each module exam and let me go to the toilet every 1 hour. They also provide a special room for me. So I will not bother other students. Alhamdu...
